Suzanne Ganjineh
Suzanne Ganjineh, a native Midwesterner, now resides in South Carolina, USA. Her medium of choice is watercolour on paper and linen canvas. A self-taught artist, she enjoys the challenge of allowing the paint and water “to do as each pleases” and restricts the urge to apply constraints to the resulting outcome. Spending her youth in rural Ohio and reveling in the four seasons, Suzanne has taken inspiration from summer picnics in the fields; a walk in the woods in autumn amongst swirling leaves; and brisk jaunts thru snowy fields with her faithful canine companion. Never one to follow carefully detailed instructions, nor established “rules” she applies a joyful heart when creating her work. In addition to abstract flowers, other subjects include sea and landscapes. Suzanne enjoys baking, flower gardening, and pottery. “If my pieces make one contemplative or simply bring joy into a space, then I have achieved my goal. Even failed pieces can bring great growth to one humble enough to admit there may be a better way.”
